During her career, Deika has helped public and private sector entities address complex research, process, business development, and organizational challenges to achieve strategic and operational objectives. For the private sector, Deika has developed and implemented strategies for large private, family owned and publicly traded companies in a wide array of sectors.  With data-driven research and analysis, she keeps a track on local and global trends to assess challenges and opportunities.

Deika’s public sector policy and management experience includes eight (8) years in numerous capacities with the Government of Jamaica.  She has served as a Senator, Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning and Chairman of the Anti-Dumping and Subsidies Commission. With training in environmental systems (emphasis on water and wastewater management), she has promoted private sector participation in the water sector with the National Water Commission (Jamaica) and was an Environmental Scientist at the South Florida Water Management District, early in her career.

Deika is President of the University Of Pennsylvania Alumni Club Of Jamaica and a member of the Rotary Club of Kingston.  She has served on numerous boards and committees in the public, private and non-profit sectors including the American Chamber of Commerce in Jamaica and the Economic Policy Committee of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica.

Deika holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree, cum laude, from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Systems degree, cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Engineering Science degree from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
